Installing a HDTV Antenna?

May 12, 2004

hdtvHere’s a handy, little online tool from Antenna Web.org and the Consumer Electronics Association. You choose your location and type of installation. It shows you all of the off-air digital and analog stations for your area. It also shows where the transmitter is located, compass orientation, frequency assignment, and how many miles away from the towers you are.

Click “view street level map” and it gives you a graphical representation of where the transmitters are, in relation to your address. This is a very handy tool for installing an HDTV off air antenna and specifically tuning in those problem stations.

recently bought a hdtv and hooked it up to existing older style antenna. I am in nh 35 miles from boston, the antenna points south toward boston and gets those stations fine, I would like to get channel 9 which is 25 miles north in manchester nh but get no signal, what can you suggest. Lee
