Luckily my switcher is still working like a champ, sorry to hear you had problems with yours.

Sometimes its tough to keep parts on the shelf for products that are several years old, especially at these price points. When I called Gefen requesting to send in my box for repair (I was expecting to pay) they informed me they do not repair anything but current boxes. I have invested in several other Gefen products not knowing they do not repair. Based on my experience I would suggest purchasing a product from a company that will repair it's products!

I purchased a Gefen product years ago that they now have updated now making my box discontinued.
