InFocus ScreenPlay news

November 23, 2004

infocus_screenplayIn all of the hustle and bustle around here, I forgot to mention that the InFocus ScreenPlay 7205 & ScreenPlay 5700 recently had a price reduction. The 7205 now has a minimum advertised price of $6,999 MAP and the ScreenPlay 5700’s MAP is now $3,499.

In addition the 5700 now ships with a filter-thread lens and a new throw ratio: 2.08-2.60:1. The 72 mm filter thread allows the user the opportunity to use a ND (Neutral Density) filter with the SP 5700. An ND filter offers the flexibility to experiment with screen size and brightness to find that optimum balance between brightness and black level.

The 5700’s service page at InFocus has been updated to reflect these changes, and a excel throw-distance calculator with the new lens’s has been added. The flash throw distance calculator on the SP 5700’s main page also reflects these changes.
