Samsung to revive the CRT television market?

November 3, 2004

vixlimI had written a little about this a few months ago, but as more details are known its worth reiterating. Samsung has introduced a 32” (Vixlim) high definition television that’s less than 14” deep, shaving at least 6 to 7 inches off the depth of a standard 32” CRT television set.

Specifications like a 32” diagonal image, high definition resolution, and only 14” of cabinet depth, combined with a $1000 estimated street price, makes this set a serious contender in the hi-defnition display market. Serious enough to even make my frugal behind get off the fence and consider one for the bedroom. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this one.
