Sony VPL-HS51 Review

Projector central has posted a review of the Sony VPL-HS51, calling it “an impressive product”. Evan Powell went on to add it their Highly Recommended list. The review also mentions this projector as having, blacker black levels than even most DLP projectors. That’s a powerful statement towards an LCD projector, as black level and screen door effect have been long time complaints of LCD technology from DLP fans.
In regards to SDE (screen door effect) Projector Central stated it to be a non-issue at normal viewing distances, this would follow along with Dithermaster’s (Sony LCD owner) assessment in saying “My own humble experience says that screen door is no longer an issue”.
