The writing on the wall, screen rather

Yet another stalwart home theater publication will be closing up shop, at least their printing shop. Stereophile’s Ultimate AV will cease publication, in print form that is, sometime in 2005. The company will be joining the ever-growing ranks of other specialty electronic publishers and deliver all their reviews and product news on-line.
As the link indicates UAV will inform current subscribers as to how their accounts will be credited. Just speculation here, but UAV might move to some form of on-line subscription, If so I honestly, I think their going to find potential readers a little less than overjoyed to ‘pay’ to read articles on-line. I know magazines and newspapers have had an incredibly hard time, keeping up with electronic publishers in the last few years, but subscribers in my opinion at least, prefer to have a hard copy if their going to pay for a subscription. Welcome to on-line publishing guys….
P.S Congratulations to ‘Dithermaster’ on winning the Universal Remote MX-800RFS. His 3:2 pull down article was head and shoulders above the rest of the entries.
