the video animation sent to me as QT file ( DV-DVCPRO 29.97 ) in FCP
. However , it appears that FCP , when importing this file into it, will onlu play it with 2:3:2:3 pulldown .
Subsequently , if I make a montage of this file, my FCP 6.2 plays it only as a pull-down ( this big 5 GB file of a mastered (for broadcast) animated show needs to be re-edited for DEMO. I would like to export resulting sequence to another high quality QT file... however , anything I try, gets a pulldown when played .
..
I tried going to "system settings":. playback control. to turn off the Pulldown pattern , but there is no option for that ..(there is only 2:3:2:3, 2:3:3:2, 2:2:2:4: 24@25 pulldown , but no " NONE"
What bugs me the most is that the original file , when I play it as a Quick time movie from the desktop( not from FCP 6.2) plays WIHTHOUT pulldown !? !( just as I would like to use it in FCP :)
I am at my witts end ...now this ha s become a real problem , since I need to deliver this very very soon , and I am at a loss on how to go around it ..
YOur help Would be Much appreciated ..!

I am currently trying to play ( and export in full quality )<br

Will playing the DVD on a DVD player that does process 2:3 pulldown correct the matter..or is the TV faulty and the 2:3 pulldown matter not correctable? Does this only apply to content that was originally motion picture and now is 'video'? If YES, then why doesn't the DVD have the pulldown correction inherent in its content, placed there during its manufacture? If a monitor does not pass a 2:3 pulldown test how will that affect broadcast sources?

So……….if a given monitor doesn’t ‘pass’ a 2:3 pulldown test (e.g. creates moire) what may one do to avoid or correct this?
