I suppose in my not paying enough attention to the fine print I realized that we are paying $280 a year to be able to watch a few extra games ( not even in HD which cost the extra $99) Whats the real benefit to this package? If you really think about it there isnt. You can watch almost every game with out this package if you pay attention to channel listings. I think this is a way for not onlry direct tv but for the NFL to rake in the extra $$$$ its like everything else in the NFL completely over priced for the avg Joe.

I couldn't agree with this article any more. I refuse to do it. Direct TV has given me one less reason to keep them as my television programming provider. They are squeezing the life out of my wallet. Their customer service has been very good and that is why i keep them. However, i am no longer tied to them no that they have weened me off the NFL Sunday Ticket. Thank goodness the Falcons looked better than I thought they would because I am going to be watching alot of them during my protest of the outrageous price for having the NFL Ticket in HD.

Now that ‘you’ have found out who is truly responsible (me) for the outrageous costs we incur as DTV customers, feel free to send all of your bills to me. I have a service I am happy with, in that they (DTV) offer a service that is ’spot on’ in customer service, and quality. You (Ken Hougaard) just go ahead and send all of your bills to ‘me’, and ‘I’ will ensure that DTV stays right where I, and millions of others want it, at the other end of the ‘buttons’… Fletcher.

Fletcher, You’re the reason they get away with it. That’s the problem with most things in this wonderful country of ours today; everyome just kinda grins and bears it. What can ya do right?

Well, I know I won’t give another dime to Directv for NFLST, no matter how badly I want to watch my Broncos every week. Once the 2 year contract period is up, they won’t have me as a base customer either.

I have been with Directv since 1995. Much like buying a car and stressing over the cost of insurance/tires for the vehicle. Simply put; if it is a problem to have to pay extra to watch your team, don’t order the service!
I of all people agree that the HD fee is insane. However, complaining about it will get you nothing. Endure it and it will all be over soon. Deal with it!

Couldn’t agree with this 2005 article more! This year, the price is $280!! (plus $99 for HD) What a JOKE! Why do I pay a monthly fee for HD channels with DirectTV now, just to be charged an additional $99 to watch my NFL team…this company has gone overboard. I discourage anyone from using this service…
