They own a lot of titles that can be immediately released onto their Blu-ray format. So while the Japanese/Korean Companies have a &quot;mine is better than yours&quot;  contest, The Chinese manufacturers will step up to the plate and give the US consumer exactly what it wants/needs, a universal format player/recorder, which will force the Japanese/Korean companies to follow suit or lose even more market share to Chinese.
