DISH Network expands HD locals

Dish HDMore local HD satellite announcements, this time from DISH Network. EchoStar DISH’s parent company is reporting the roll-out of HD local channel service, to 11 new markets:

 •Washington, D.C.

With this round of local HD local additions, DISH is now on track to match DirecTV’s local HD offerings and plans a reach of “more than 50% of U.S. TV households with local HD channels by year’s end”.

    Not recently John. But they tend to pop these things out on us without much warning, so keep an eye out.

    I’m in a bad location for open air antenna reception for local HD and Dish Network is not providing local HD yet. My wife is scratching at my neck to switch to Direct TV b/c they have this area in local HD. I don’t want to go through the trouble and payment of switching so how do I find out a time frame on when Dish Network might have local HD for Northern Kentucky (yall)? Thanks in advance for any info!
