There’s a direct quote in it from Rob Iger (Disney’s CEO) No to my knowledge Disney hasn’t announced any HD-DVD’s yet, nor did I say they had. “entertaining the idea of supporting HD-DVD” was my statement. There’s a difference between “reserving the right” to launch on both formats and the CEO of Disney saying “HD DVD support is a real possibility”. I’m sure Sony themselves “reserve the right” hell who wouldn’t? The distinction is in actually indicating that it’s a possibility as opposed to throwing out a “we reserve the right” boilerplate, disclaimer. You know I haven’t even mentioned this yet, but why not. With MGM taking their distribution deal away from Sony and giving it to Fox, Fox could in theory flip the whole studio support argument on its head.. Henning, did you read the ars technica article?
