Sony’s Blu-ray player delayed until 10/25/06

It looks like Samsung will hold the prestigious title of sole Blu-ray player available, for quite a bit longer. Sony has apparently delayed their BDP-S1 Blu-ray player until October 25th.
Pioneer’s new time frame for their recently delayed Blu-ray player, was stated as “autumn”. With Sony’s BDP-S1 delayed until late October, it’s anybody’s guess as to which company is actually the next in-line, to launch their Blu-ray player.
Quick note: The BDP-S1 delay wasn’t officially announced in the press release, official Sony spokesmen sense, but as SonyStyle.com is Sony’s official e-commerce site, I have to believe they didn’t throw this up for kicks.
When the “official” date was still August 15th, SonyStyle reflected the same, seems to be the case here as well.
