HDNet Coming to Comcast?
July 18, 2006
Those of you who don’t subscribe to Comcast HD or are already enjoying programming from HDNet via a different provider, please forgive this bit of self indulgence. HDNet has been one of the most frequently requested channels by Comcast HD subscribers for as long as I can remember, it appears as if there’s a chance those request haven’t fallen on deaf ears.
Scott Greczkowski over at Satellite Guys, wait a minute. First off let me give you a bit of background, Scott has a long history of accurate predictions when it comes to DISH Network, DirecTV and Cable TV, specifically with what new channels are being added by the providers.
So when I read this thread indicating there was a very real chance that HDNet would indeed make its way to Comcast by the end of the year, I felt it was credible enough to mention here. Yes I’m sure many of you who already receive HDNet are probably wondering what all the fuss is about but trust me, Comcast subscribers will take any HD we can get at this point.
HDNet has apparently aired some really top-notch HD programming lately. Recently I had to endure a friend who gloated endlessly about the “awesome airing of 2001: A Space Odyssey” he caught a few weeks back. Come on Comcast, make this happen, the HD freaks are twitching don’t leave us hanging.
This is kind of ironic considering it was just a few days ago that I shared my letter to Comcast, requesting that they add HDNet to the lineup. Let your voice be heard as well, tell the nations largest cable TV provider you want HDNet on your local system.
