A Home Theater by Any Other Name

November 1, 2006

Home Theater LobbyBusiness Week recently ran an article titled ‘The Media Room of Your Dreams’ and while home theaters are represented in the write-up, author Douglas MacMillan rightfully chose to use the media-room moniker as many of the rooms featured double as entertainment enclaves, that are just as suitable for entertaining guests with sporting events or gaming.

As expected in any showcase of big budget home theaters, Theo Kalomirakis designs are heavily represented but the slideshow also features other innovative designs from the likes of ‘Hometronics’, ‘Electronic Systems Consultants’ and other high profile system integrators. The article serves as a good primer for anyone interested in transforming their “TV room” into a full fledged home theater or media room, sound advice indeed. (pun most definitely intended)

Of particular interest is advice on recouping the value of your media rooms design and construction in the homes resale and the types of things a custom electronics integrator can assist you with in constructing the home theater of your dreams.
