Time to Work on My Own System for a Change
November 21, 2006
It’s funny; I always underestimate how long it takes to setup my home theater system, breaking it down is a piece of cake, spin it around pull out all the cables, box it all up and I’m done in 10-15 minutes. Reassembling it on the other hand… is another story altogether.
That’s just what I did recently, reassemble my entire home theater system (well I’m not completely done, I still have to ceiling mount the projector) and as such I haven’t had much time to post lately. Piece of advice, short cuts and time savers really don’t exist in system hookup, take your time and do it right the first time, I had to go back in and hook up 3 or 4 cables in my rush to knock this little project out.
Oh, by the way we just recently moved, that’s the impetus for the system tear-down and reassembly, trust me I’d never do this out of sheer boredom, with the move comes some other exciting changes/additions here, more on that later.
