Big Price Drops from InFocus

February 2, 2007

InFocusInFocus just announced price drops for three of their popular home theater projectors; the price drops apply to the Screenplay 7205, 7210 and the PlayBig IN76. The price reductions breakdown as follows:

The IN76 previously retailed for $2999 but now lists for $2499. The InFocus Screenplay 7205 previously sold for $3999 but now retails for $2999 while the SP 7210 previously retailed for $5999 and now lists for $3999. Overall these were some pretty significant and much needed price drops from InFocus.

The 7210 would win my vote of most significant price drop as the projector continues to wow me even with stiff competition from several 1080p projectors. A couple of quick specifications for the InFocus projectors included in the recent price drop:

ScreenPlay 7210: 1280×720 Texas Instruments DarkChip3 (DC3) DMD, 7 segment variable speed color wheel, Faroudja FLI2310 DCDi, 1100 max ANSI lumens, 2800:1 contrast ratio.

ScreenPlay 7205: 1280×720 Texas Instruments HD2+ DMD, 6 segment variable speed color wheel, Faroudja DCDi, 1100 max ANSI lumens, 2200:1 contrast ratio.

PlayBig IN76: 1280×720 Texas Instruments DarkChip2 DMD, 6 segment variable speed color wheel, 1000 max ANSI lumens, 3000:1 contrast ratio.
