mi 1.3a question

Will the Denon 4308 include a fixed audio signal in it’s HDmi output? I would like to use one of the HDmi outputs in a second location as an input for a 2807. I understand the 4308 is 1.3a compliant but I am not sure if the audio is forwarded with the video feed. Audio content is not included in the 2807’s HDmi output.

I just purchased the new Samsung FP-T6374 Plasma, and now I will be purchasing a new A/V receiver with HDMI v 1.3 . I've been trying to complete my new Theater/Music listening room for 2 years now, and now it's time for the "toys". Can someone, I mean anyone, please send me an e-mail as soon as any of the reputable manufaturers (Denon, Onkyo, Yamaha, etc, )releases one of these new v 1.3 HDMI A/V receivers, that is rated at at least 100 watts per channel.(already now about the Onkyo "605" at 90 WPC) Preferably Denon. My best friend is a pro A/V Systems installer and tech, and he is able to get me "Dealer" cost pricing on Samsung and Denon, along with quite a few other brands. He doesn't get involved with too much residential "Stuff". So it is always up to me to locate whats out there, when I need something that is considered to be a residntial piece of Gear. Hey, I'm not complaining. Just having a hard time lately is all.
Thanks to anyone who can help! Joe B.

Hi Eric,
It's a Faroudja chip (I think it's the 2310). The 4308 will deinterlace and scale. I'm not certain about the 3808 but I suspect that it will just deinterlace.

Hi John, without naming names the source is someone-in-the-know. It shouldn't be too long before Denon makes an official announcement. No URL, it was a first-hand conversation.

Hi Ed, I'm not familiar with that specific function but its not something I would have sought out either, I'll take a look and update here if I find anything. The 'Night' mode might have a similar effect, I believe it compresses the peak loudness a bit.

does denon have any av's that have some kind of circuitry to even out the audio volumn when a tv show goes from program to comercial (it gets real loud) then back to program (gets low again)?

Puddy, I’m pretty sure that’s a yes to HD master, if I find out different I’ll reply again.

Hifi, Denon generally reserves that for the upper tier so it could go either way, if I had to guess I’d say THX for the AVR-4308ci and above.

Will the AVR-4308ci and AVR-3808ci decode DTS-HD Master Audio (the lossless one)? Or just DTS-HD (the lossy one)?
