In The Works
July 27, 2007

I wanted to give you guys (and gals) a heads-up on a few reviews we’re working on, to allow some questions ahead of time, before we shuffle the gear off to its final destination. The first piece up for review will be Pioneer Elite’s new BDP-94HD Blu-ray player, with its 1080p24 output, internal TrueHD decoding, and impressive media streaming capabilities (or are they? we’ll find out), this could very well be the player to watch. (bad pun)
Later in the week we’ll begin our review of Denon’s new AVR-4308ci surround receiver. Yes, begin. The 4308 is just too chock-full of features for us to try and digest in one sitting. I plan to start with an overview and then get into the on-screen GUI, media streaming via ethernet (wi-fi and ethernet) and Dolby TrueHD – DTS-HD audio functions separately. We’re really excited about both of these products, stay tuned.
