It’s been quite a while since I’ve attended a CEDIA EXPO (shamefully long to be honest) but this year I’ll be making the trek back to Colorado; to take in the sights and sounds, catch up on a bit of product training and otherwise geek out on next years gear. I’m already catching some early buzz about a couple of projectors that push contrast ratios into the stratosphere and a 3-chip 1080p DLP projector from Sim2 (no not the prototype they showed last year).
It looks like last years theme of 1080p front projection is here at last will shift toward further refinement and even better image quality over last years models. I’m still not sure if I’m going to lug my laptop around the convention floor all day (amazing how heavy 7lbs gets after a few hours) but either way I’ll squeeze in a couple of updates on the show-stoppers and try to post a few pictures. If any long time readers are planning on attending the show and or the AVS party Friday night, drop me a line here at the site; lets have a brew and compare notes.
