Comments on: HDMI Switcher with Front Display

What I’m really waiting for is a box that will not only serve as an HDMI switch, but will strip the uncompressed audio off of the HDMI signal and send analog 7.1 to my 3 year old processor. I wonder if there’s even a market for such a product, and if it makes sense to buy one when HDMI 1.3 receivers are available for under $1k.

I’ve used this for almost 2 yrs works great with 4 in 1 out and the front display light doesn’t stay it after selection.

I found a good one last week that works great. 3×1 switcher with a remote. Good price as well.

Hey Gary, on that we agree, but if it was say a game room, or a situation where you were going back and forth between several different inputs a lot, I could see the allure.

I just have my universal remote send my Oppo HDMI switcher the correct input. Works everytime. No need for another display staring at me.
