I started in the Columbia House Laser Disk Club. It wasn't the price of the disks it was the S&H fees. A 9.00 disk cost 20.00 after all is said and done.

I signed up for Columbia House once, back when I was thirteen. They were offering tape cassettes!

I got my 8 tapes for a penny or whatever, then failed to buy the required $100 or so in tapes after that. They sent a bill and an angry collections letter... which my parents sent straight back with an angry letter of their own. I got grounded, but at least Columbia House got served. :)

I'd stay well away from BMG/Columbia House, given their BBB rating and everything I've heard about 'em.

Another great way to buy BDs is Half.com. They are used, but always in good condition.
