HD DVD: Video Interview with Kevin Collins

Last September I had the pleasure of interviewing Kevin Collins, director of “HD DVD Evangelism” at Microsoft. The interview was lengthy to say the least but if your interested in the cliff notes, Kevin was interviewed last week during a pit-stop of the HD DVD Mobile Experience tour in Redmond Washington. Toshiba Announces New HD DVD Players

As expected Toshiba announced their second generation HD DVD players today at CEDIA in Denver, and with one fell swoop addressed several of the complaints from early adopters of first generation HD DVD players. First up the Toshiba HD-A2:

Toshiba Moving Forward on 45GB HD DVD Discs
I have to say this bit of news took me by surprise, I assumed Toshiba had relegated their 45GB discs to the PC world and were firmly entrenched in the idea that 30GB’s would become their maximum capacity for pre-recorded HD DVD content, not according to Jim Armour of Toshiba.
