November 5, 2006

With LCD & SXRD 1080p front projectors from the likes of Sony and Mitsubishi already (or soon to be) available at or under the 5k mark, many DLP fans have been wondering when they’ll see 1080p DLP projectors around 5-6k, fear not your wait may be over.

Good Morning Sim2

October 24, 2006

Earlier today a co-worker and I attended a demonstration of Sim2’s 3-chip, 1080p HT5000 projector; the 1-chip, 1080p HT3000; and their 3-chip, 720p Grand Cinema C3X LITE. With the upcoming CEDIA Expo in Denver just day(s) away we’re already getting some pre-show confirmations on what to expect on the show-floor. Not one to be accused of saving the best for last, Sim2 has pre-announced one of their big guns from the up-coming CEDIA Expo 2006, next week in Denver. The SIM2 Grand Cinema HT5000 claims the title of the world’s first three-chip 1080p DLP projector, designed specifically for home theater use.
Warning marketing-speak incoming: “Three-chip DLP [...]
